Potion Bottles - Whimsy Stamps

Whimsy Stamps released this Potion Bottle Die set last year and I have been wanting to use it all year long. I have a couple of ideas so this may not be the last you see of it this year. I've paired it with the Potion Labels Stamps and one version uses the Gothic Glow paper and the other uses the Potions Cupboard Background Stamp.

Of course I did make a short tutorial for these cards. I used a few different products on these cards, including Yupo and Alcohol Inks, as well as some Distress Sprays to make a background, so I hope there is something techniquey that is of interest.

This one has the Potions Cupboard Background. I thought it was perfect for the bottle.
I colored the background with Distress Spray Stains.
The label was stamped in Black Soot Archival and then embossed with Superfine Black Embossing Powder.
The little tag was cut from Black Heavystock and stamped with the Halloween Bitty Border using Picket Fence. I think the razing effect that happened was so cool and unexpected!
Zombie Elixir was stamped with clear Embossing Gel and then Heat Embossed with white superfine embossing powder.

The little tag was stamped with Black Soot Archival on white Heavystock.

The background Gothic Glow paper was toned down a bit by blending Mowed Lawn Distress Ink over the background Gothic Glow. It really doi the job!

That's going to do it for today! I truly hope you enjoyed yourself, checking out the Poison Bottle Cards and the techniques behind them.

Have a Creative day,

Tami

Below are my affiliate links with the things I used on today's project. Many thanks to those of you who use them! I greatly appreciate it!
