Boo! We Scare - The Sassy Club

These are rthe last two Sassy Club cards I have finished from my road trip coloring crafty time over New Year Weekend. The Boo card was made with images from the Fur You stamp set and the little monster and background are from the We Scare stamp set. The purple background is a piece from the Safari Paper Pad.
To make the backgrounds on both of these cards I stamped the door from We Scare multiple times in rows across pices of A2 watercolor cardstock in Black ?Soot Archival Ink.
Here is one of the backgrounds colored with Distress Watercolor Pencils.
I cut a rectangle out of vellum to place behind the stamped focal images so they stood out on the busy background.
I stamped the BOO! sentiment and then backed the sentiment and background with a piece of the purple sky paper from the Safari Paper Pack.
Aren't these images super cute?
of course I sewed around the edges. It just makes me feel like the card is finished.
Same background technique on this card as the previous one.
I stitched on the vellum shape and around the background piece on this card.
I left the paper on the clipboard blank so I could write in something for whoever I decide to give it to.

The paper behind the doors is from the Enchanted Paper Pad and I thought it pulled in the yellows, teals and purples from the images and the doors.

These are the last of the cards from my recent creative road trip time, but I hope to make more post cards to give to cast members when I visit Disneyland.

We’re All Mad - The Sassy Club

A Girl in Sassyland from The Sassy Club is the stamp set that inspired this card. I paired it with some paper from the Tiny World Paper Pad. The links take you to the site to purchase the stamps but I am not an affiliate with The Sassy Club.
The images were all stamped with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock and then colored with Distress Watercolor Pencils.
I hand cut around the We're All Mad Here sentiment.
I cut some vellum from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die to place behind the images to soften the backgound.
The striped and numbered papers are from the Tiny World Paper Pack.

I used Distress Water Color pencils that I thought best coordinated with the paper. The tea cuts and girl are all popped up with foam squares to add dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like this card!

Mahalo - The Sassy Club

I have been really into tiki stuff lately so I pulled these tiki stamp sets I bought from The Sassy Club awhile back, and paired them with some paper from the Enchanted Paper Pack also from The Sassy Club.  These are the two cards I have made so far.
I stamped the images from both tiki stamp sets onto some Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Black Soot Distress Archival, and then colored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils. The stamp sets used are Tiki Bar and Sassy Tiki. The papers are from Enchanted Paper Pack. I am not an affiliate with The Sassy club and these are not affiliate links.
When they were dry, I fussy cut them with Tim Holtz Tonic Haberdashery scissors.
The background paper on the first card is from the Enchanted paper pack. I cut an oval out of vellum and placed it behind the bird and bamboo hanger so the images stood out of the fun, but busy background.
I just chose the simple Mahalo (thank you) sentiment and matted it with a small piece of the wood grain paper from Enchanted and a piece of Watercolor Csrdtock colore dwith Distress Pencils.

This second card is on a piece of Watercolor cardstock that I stamped the small flower from the Tiki sets all over the background in different colors of Distress Archival Ink. Then I stamped the single hibiscus stamp in Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink and colored them in with red and yellow Distress Watercolor Pencils.
I went around the outside edge of the samped background with 1/4" strips of woodgrain paper from the Enchanted paper pack.
I cut a rectangle from vellum to soften the stamped background and then popped the stamped images up on the vellum and added the mahalo sentiment.

I did add some sewing detail on each card

The large card base is colored with an aqua Distress Watercolor Pencil.

I hope you like these fun and simple tiki cards. Thanks for visiting.

“I’m on the Cover!” - The Sassy Club

I finished some fun cards using some recent stamp releases from The Sassy Club. This one makes me laugh! I think I’ll call it “I’m on the cover! “ 😂

I used the We Scare and Fur You stamp sets from The Sassy Club. I am not an affiliate and TSC stamps can only be purchased from their website.
Images stamped in Distress Black Soot Archival Ink on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I stamped the door from We Scare in rows all across an A2 sized card front.
The doors were colored with Distress Watercolor Pencils, as were the mats and the other images.

To soften the vibrant door background, I cut out an oval in Vellum, colored it with Distress Pencils and used that to soften the background behind the images.

Only the sentiment is popped up on this card.

Here you can see that I colored both the card base and a mat with Distress Watercolor Pencils do the colors coordinated with the images and the doors.

Thanks so much for visiting. I hope you liked the card. Stay tuned for more!
