This is the first of my makes using the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Chapter 2 dies, Flower Field and Funky Insects.
I tried something different when I made this card and I recorded it on video as I worked. I edited out some of the slow parts so you weren't watching ink dry and such, but you get to see a little of the process I go through when working through a design. There is also a little sewing on paper tutorial in the middle for those who haven't tried it yet.
Also, I was inspired to make this card after seeing a YouTube tutorial from Jennifer McGuire Ink. She is a genius! I love to turn her youtube channel on and just let her creativity play hoping some of it will infuse into my mind. Her Open-and-Slide card tutorial was really fun to watch and easy to follow. I highly recommend watching it here: Jennifer McGuire Ink Open-and-Slide Card

tami - wonderful card! I love all the beautiful colors of the flowers and the clever slide!
Tami this is so beautiful. Thnx for sharing the process on how you created the sliding card. Love how you coloured the flowers.
Tami, a huge thank you for sharing this incredible tutorial. I loved every minute, Especially the sewing. I learned a lot from that. And having you combined with Jennifer is like having cake AND ice cream. You are my favorite designer, and I so much appreciate you sharing your work and the tutorials.
Just to say that I love the card and the YouTube tutorial.. Hope to see more videos in the future...
Thanks

When I saw this card on Tim's live, I instantly fell in love with it. I wondered if you got the slider idea from Jennifer's video! What you've done really steps the technique up quite a bit!! Although I've heard of stitching on a card, I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually do it before. As a visual leaner, I found it very helpful to watch you. Can't tell you how much I appreciate and enjoyed the video as well as you sharing your brilliant and beautiful design. Thank you, Tami!
Excellent video! I felt part of your creative process as you worked through your details out loud. Great card!
This is so gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing it.
This card was a favorite from Tim’s live. I love the interactive feature and knew immediately where the inspiration came. I love how you took Jennifer’s basic clean and simple technique and stepped it up to make it work for you. I really enjoyed the video, and especially appreciated the segment on stitching. I have never sewn, but bought an old machine to learn to sew on cards. Your instruction was super helpful. Thank you! I’m thrilled you are on You Tube. I appreciate you sharing more of yourself on that platform.
This is a fabulous tutorial! It even taught how to make the fantastic background for the card! I will check out Jen McGuires just for fun but this is incredibly well explained! Thank you!
