Dashing Through the Snow - Scenic Holiday

It's always so fun to create a card when the stamps do all the work for you, and the Scenic Holiday stamps from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous do just that.
This card is full of layers. The card base is Blackout Cardstock 4.25x5.5. Then a mat of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock 4x5.25 colored with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. 3.75x5 Distress Mixed Media Heavystock colored with Weathered Wood Distress Ink then stamped with the woodgrain Lumberjack stamp in Ground Espresso Distress Archival Ink. That makes up the base of the card.
The Scenic Holiday scene was stamped onto a Stacked Postage die cut piece of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock in Ground Espresso Distress Archival Ink. Then Watercolored with a very fine detail brush with Distress Inks.
The Stacked Postage piece has machine stitching around the edges and is matted with a piece of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock colored with Ground Espresso.
The sentiment is stamped on a thin strip of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock with Ground Espresso. and two Long Fasteners are added to each side. The image with mat and the sentiment are both popped up with either dimensional adhesive or scraps of chipboard, just to add a little interest.
The final touch was to add an index clip fastenener and three Snowflake Adornments down the side. the snowflakes are joined with some Craft Thread, but are also attached to the card with the clip and by the snowflake at the bottom. This allows them to look like they are hanging without them swinging wildly and allowing them to stay in place along the side.

This card is a simple one to make and could be duplicated easily for a set of Christmas Cards. Thanks you for visiting today.
