An Unfortunate Ending - Tim Holz Stampers Anonymous Halloween 2024

This is a project I made for the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous 2024 Halloween Release.

Here is the video tutorial for this project.

To make the stone background I colored a small Etcetera Tag with Distress Oxide Sprays in Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss and Black Soot. When dry I spread Crypt Grit Paste through the Slate THS085 stencil. Once dry I went over it with some Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon to bring more gray to the forefront.

I colored the images with Stormy Sky, Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke, Scorched Timber and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks.
Then fussy cut them out and added a thin mat of Mixed Media Heavystock colored with Old Paper and a spray of Fossilized Amber Spritz.

After adhering the stamped images to the tag, I layed the large Batty layer stencil over them and the tag and spplied Black Paque Texture Paste through the tag. It did cover some of each image but that was part of the design plan and I love it!

Now let’s go have a creative day! 😃

Eclectic Elements Holidays Past Christmas Fabric - Tim Holtz

I’m always so grateful that Tim Holtz asks me to make with his Eclectic Elements fabric line despite the fact that I cannot sew a straight line and am a functionally inept sewer. 😂 I am the “If I can make it, anyone can make it” fabric maker and I’m happy to hold that self-given title.

So trust me when I say that if you see anything here that you want to make but think you can’t…YOU CAN! You can do it.

I was “under the needle” for this one and did not get any tutorials made but here is a talk-through of the projects and below are links to all the patterns I used.

Fabric Owls  I put my own twist on these with the twig feet and noses. Don’t you love that plaid lunch box Tim has?!

I made two of these snowmen. The first one I made with just plain white flannel, but wanted to try one with the calendar toile and I love it!!  I switched out a twig nose for the felt one in the fabric.

Snowman Pattern

Tip on the hat for this. I used the pattern, but instead of covering poster board with fabric, I just cut and hot glued / fabric glued stiff felt and greenery I bought at Hobby Lobby.

The wreath was made in much the same manner as the one I did last year so I will link the tutorial here.

I attached the music fabric to cardstock with fusible web, then die cut it with Festive Stems 664757 Bigz die. It has three holly leaves attached and it filled in the wreath quickly. The Buffalo Plaid Holly leaves are from Holly Branch 657468. The berries are just yo yos with a little stuffing in them. The bow is just a tube I sewed but you could use fabric glue or hot glue.

Here is the tutorial I did with the leaves last year. This was pretty much the same technique.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you found something to inspire you!
