Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2012 - February

Breaking from his December tradition, Tim decided to change it up in 2012 and do a tag challenge a month, starting in February.

Here is Tim's February Tag

His tag had several techniques that I couldn't put on this tag because I was unable to get the honeycomb paper and I didn't have any stamps that I wanted to use on a February tag to do the stamping technique. So, I did my best to incorporate some of the ideas from his tag this month.

My February Tag

First, since I couldn't get the honeycomb paper, I tried to make my own with bookprint. It ended up being more of a fan, but it is a 3-d element and I like it!
Secondly, I used the letters from his Valentine paper for my title.
Where I differed is in the background. I cut my own tag from Tim's Kraft Resist paper and used the sewing pattern page. Then stuck with the sewing theme for my Valentines tag. I added the button, pins and spool in keeping with the theme and finished it off with the heart charm and Valentine postcard from Tim's Valentine paper.

I think I'm going to enjoy trying to finish a tag each month, although I will miss the December madness of 12 Tags of Christmas.
