Liberty - A Special Disneyland Flag Retiring Ceremony

Recently my younger cousin retired from the military and took a "return to civilian life" tour of California.  Part of that included some time with me at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and a day at the Happiest Place on Earth.  I'm so proud of her and spent the entire day bragging about her to any CM who would listen.  I also made sure that she was a part of the daily Flag Retiring ceremony that takes place in Town Square.  I got a little teary.  She stood at attention through that whole ceremony.  I'm so happy that I have the pictures of it.

This layout was based on Sketch Savvy Two-Page Sketch #19.  The minute I saw it I thought of this box of old Bo Bunny paper that I had in my scraproom closet, and if you know me, you know I love old paper lines. It was perfect.  Thank you Susan!  I love it!

I didn't do anything techniquey on this page because I made it as a sample for layout kits.  Many times the samples I make end up getting sold because without kids, I often don't have photos that will fit them.  Not so when it comes to the patriotic layouts.   I have tons from Disney and from travels across the US.

If you're interested in purchasing a kit, you can check out my Etsy Shop. It's brand new! Be sure to click on the photos and read the descriptions because I usually put a suggestion for how each layout could fit Disney photos if you are a Disney Scrapper.  My layouts aren't always obviously Disney.
Like this one. ;-)
