Tim Holtz Christmas Ideaology Samples 2021

Another amazing Christmas Idea-ology release from Tim Holtz and his team! Wow! This release has something for everyone. Truly. Mixed Media, Scrapbookers, Planners, Journalers, December Dailiers, so many different types of crafters. I'm so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to make with this release and below are the three samples I made as well as links to my affiliates for easy ordering the products if you haven't already.
This is my nod to Disneyland's Frontierland Christmas. It was so fun to grunge things up while still trying to give it a holiday feel. And that little lantern...so fun!
I let my old scrapbooker side come out with this one. I really enjoyed using so many elements for documenting holiday memories. And the new base for the Christmas Trees is so stinking cute!
This might be my favorite Chrismas Idea-ology make ever. Charles Dickens is one of my favorite authors and I love watching A Christmas Carol every year (George C Scott is my favorite Scrooge). So this year I felt like with the Halloween and Christmas releases that it was the year to tell the story through Idea-ology. I will have a tutorial on how to make the tray into a book. And I have a walk through video that I filmed showing all of the little details that I added to tell the story of Ebenezar Scrooge and Jacob Marley.

This side shows that you can put this piece on a coffee table as it has something an all sides to tell the whole story.

Thank you for stopping by. Please be sure to follow me on Instagram and Youtube so you know when I post a new tutorial.. Also I often share sneak peeks and details on Instagram that I don't share other places. The links to my other accounts are in the column at the right.

It's been a crazy two months of releases and as you can probably imagine I am so behind on tutorials that there are a ton that will be coming at you soon. I thank you all so much for your patience as I work through making tutorials for all of the Tim Holtz brands Halloween and Christmas releases.

Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Christmas Release

What a fun Christmas Stamp release from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous! And wow! The makers knocked it out of the park. Wow! So many amazing ideas. I need to start a list of techniques from them that I want to try.

Ok, not gonna lie, this is my favorite set! Cozy Christmas is my Christmas Card making style. Stamp, watercolor, go. LOVE it!
The Multi Stripes Layering Stencil is wonderful in multiple widths.  I paired the Winter Watercolor 2 with Bold Tidings 3 and the December peeking out on the side is from the Jolly Santa stamp.
I broke out the glitter for this one. The background is one of my favorite plaid stamps from Tim. All the stamps are linked below for you to easily access them if you'd like. I stamped the Winter Watercolor 2 tree and aded the decorative strip die from Jolly Santa along the side.
This little trio of cards is a great way to make a bunch of backgrounds and focal point strips with Mini Bold Tidings and Holiday Things and then assemble a bunch of cards at once using lots of backgrounds that you have on hand with some that you can make at the same time. This is a fun opportunity to use lots of the background stamps you have. Most of the stamps I used are linked below.

This last one I wanted to show the stencil. There is a detail that It difficult to see from this far away so I'll show it in my little tutorial walk through video. I wanted to show the three different sizes of Multi Stripes with the stencils. The focal sentiment is from Christmastime stamps from 2020 or 2019. It is linked below.

What great release! Thank you to Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous for the wonderful new Christmas stamps this year! I might Actually get some Christmas cards made and mailed out this year, how about you?

Thank you so very much for stopping by. I will have some walk through tutorial videos coming out soon! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Youtube because I often post tutorials and details in both of those places as well. Links to both are in the column at the right.

Paper Village 2 Tablescape

If you watched the Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas release on Saturday, you may have seen him show the darling new Paper Village 2 dies at the end.  I used them a little unconventionally for a place setting utensil holder and what Tim calls a mug hugger.
I don't have time to post a tutorial for a few weeks but have had folks asking about them so I posted a short walk-through video on my Instagram feed that I hope will help for those who want to get a jump on the holiday makes. I hope that and these photos will help.
I used the wider of the two houses for the utensil holder. the plates, mug, utensils, and tiny spoon were all purchased at the Dollar Tree, so you can do these affordably of you don't have colorful place settings.

The mug hugger house is the smaller, but taller of the two.
I put vellum in the windows and added a bunch of the fun new Snowflake Grit Texture Paste from Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink.

I made two place setting from different colored Dollar Tree plates and mugs.
I just thought it would be fun to try out different colors and see how they felt.
I used old, retired Idea-ology Christmas paper to cut all of the houses.
The roof needs to be reinforced so I cut it both from Heavystock and patterned paper. Attach it to the house first and let it dry. Then cut it away leaving 1/4 to 3/8 " around all the edges so there is room to slip the napkiong and utensils inside.

The Mug huggers need to be cut from heavystock, then covered by the patterened paper to give them a little more stability.

I added more of the Snowflake on to the roof and chimney.
They also needed vellum and a bit of decorative greenery.

In the mug I put a cello bag with cocoa, marshmellows, a candy cane and a tiny teaspoon for stirring (also from the Dollar Tree)

I will attempt a tutorial for my Youtube channel at a later date, but I hope this helps until I have time to film it.

If you haven't had a chance to get these lovely dies, or anything else, I would greatly appreciate if you used one of my affiliate links below.

Thank you,

Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Seasonal Christmas Release

Wohoo for Tim Holtz Ranger Seasonal Distress! Not only did we get a seasonal Distress launch today, but we got another fabulous demo from Tim. Seriously, his demos are so helpful and engaging. I hope you get a chance to watch the Youtube replay if you missed it earlier.
