Peace - Diecember Snowflake Rosette Decor

How exciting to have another Diecember Die from Tim Holtz, Simon Says Stamp and Sizzix. It is Free with a $30 Purchase exclusively from Simon Says Stamp. This year's die is reminiscent of the rosette snowflakes from years ago that were on the Sizzlit strips. This snowflake is bigger than the largest of the older snowflake rosettes.

I paired it with the new Falling Snow Lightweight Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp to make this home decor piece.

Here is a tutorial for how to put the Snowflake Rosette together and how I made this quick decor piece. It went together really quickly.

Before I cut and assembled the Snowflake Rosettes, I cut each piece of Lightweight Falling Snow Cardstock in half, then I spritzed each piece with some Distress Spritz to add a little shimmer. When they were dry I cut each half piece into three 2.5" pieces to cut the rosettes from. You have to cut 3 of the rosette dies aand adhere them together to make one snowflake.

Once I put the Snowflake Rosette together, I put Distress Collage Medium on the high points and in the center, then I sprinkled Distress Snowflakes over it to add some sparkly goodness to each one.

When they were all assembled, and Snowflaked, I attached four (light to dark) down the center of the frame. I found this rustic wood frame at Hobby Lobby in the Woodpile section for about $7.50. It was ready to assemble.  Next I cut greenery from Mini Holiday Greens and added some Snowflakes for an icy touch.

On top of the greenery I added the word Peace from the Tim Holtz 2024 Holiday Classics  Vault die set. I ut it from Watercolor Cardstock colored with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and sprayed with Faded Jeans Spritz. Then I attached it to some White Heavystock and fussycut around it. I added foam tape to the back and Hot Glued it to the greenery.

You can really see the Snowflakes on the darker cardstock! In the background you can also see that I stenciled some Snowfall Grit Paste and covered it with Rock Candy Glitter. This step is completely optional, but I thought it added a subtle icy, wintery layer to the piece.

I hope my video tutorial on putting the rosettes together was helpful. If you haven't ordered already to get your FREE diecember Snowflake Rosette, I have linked the products below that I used, and you can add more items once you get to Simon Says Stamp if you need to.

Thanks a bunch for checking out my tutorial and I want to wish you a very creative day!
